After experiencing a high risk pregnancy and becoming a mom to a preemie, I began my motherhood journey with stress and a lot of unknowns. This was followed by many medical, therapy, and educational appointments to help my daughter. I have been on both sides of the table - as a parent and a therapist.
While my professional knowledge was helpful at times, it came with its own set of issues, as knowing too much can sometimes increase a parent's anxiety. The road was definitely not smooth sailing as I navigated the ups and downs of being a mom to a child with special needs. For me, this experience was life changing and influenced my growth as a professional.
As a lifelong learner with a quest for knowledge, I worked hard to earn advanced degrees and certifications. With years of therapy experience under my belt, I opened the Center For Communication and Learning - a pediatric therapy practice for children with neurodevelopmental challenges. I am proud to say that I led from my heart, my passion, and my compassion (and still do). Because of my combined personal and professional experiences, I am committed to listening to your story and designing creative solutions and programs to help you (and the child you love) thrive.
